House League Basketball Program
Each House League program begins with a clinic to teach the basic skills and evaluate the skills levels of all players. Each program teaches various passing, dribbling, shooting and defensive drills are are explained and used to demonstrate basic basketball techniques. Players are broken up into teams and every player plays. The league play culminates on Championship Day where trophies and awards are presented to all of the league participants.
The objectives of the House League program are to:
• Teach basketball progressively with an emphasis on individual skills and team play
• Teach the characteristics of learning basketball; build character; develop friendships and having fun
• Train and develop volunteers to become coaches, referees and convenors.
The SBA offers Basketball Programs all year round:
