Years of hard work and dedication has established the SBA as one of the premiere basketball organizations in Ontario and now we are excited to introduce our Toronto Blues Elite Boys & Girls Summer Travel Program which will set the bar above all others.

Our goal is to provide elite level basketball players between the U12 (Boys) and U15 - U17 (Girls) age groups in the GTA with unparalleled athletic development training and skills training, while exposing them to the highest level of competition in North America. More importantly, it's more than about basketball! We will develop our athletes' skill level while at the same time developing our athletes outside of the game of basketball by providing our athletes with support needed to acquire positive life-long habits, develop exceptional character, and excel academically in the classroom. Our ultimate goal is that by doing this ALL our athletes will be in a position to obtain academic and/or athletic scholarships to Universities/Colleges that compete in NCAA, NAIA and CIS. All of our participants will be leaders on and off the court.Toronto Blues Elite will define what it means to be successful at the next level!

Athletes selected will receive elite-level training by the team’s coaching staff and our officials, which will include:

  • Academic and Character Development sessions
  • Athletic Development Training to improve strength, movement, endurance and speed.
  • Comprehensive Basketball-specific skill development training
  • High-level competition to some of the top basketball tournaments in North America

Kareem Fearon
Program Director/Coach

Kareem has been around the game of basketball his whole life and brings a wealth of experience to the Toronto Blues Boys Summer travel team. He is a NCCP and NCAA certified coach and has been coaching basketball for the past ten years, coaching student-athletes of various skill levels.

From a young age he was around the game of basketball as his father, George Fearon coached the Galloway Lancers alongside one of SBA’s founding members, Mervin Busby whose teams had a lot of success both locally and in the US. Kareem learned a lot from being around his dad and the plethora of other high-level coaches that he was blessed to be around throughout his playing career. He had the opportunity to be exposed to very high-level basketball his whole life at all levels of basketball and he loves to teach and expose the up and coming generation to all that he learned throughout his career, as well as things that he wished he had received that he didn’t get when he played.

He is now a Youth Pastor at Christian Life Centre, in Ajax, Ontario and has a passion for seeing youth reach their full potential in life and loves using basketball as a median to help achieve this goal. He believes strongly in helping players achieve success on the basketball court through consistent systematic basketball skill and athletic development but more importantly he believes in academic success and is committed to helping players be well-rounded individuals and not just a basketball player!
