coach sandersWe are proud to introduce Ben Sanders as the new Coordinator for the Toronto Blues Elite AAU program, operating under the Scarborough Basketball Association umbrella. We are excited about what the future holds for our AAU program and the path that Ben has planned for its success. Ben has been involved in the Toronto basketball community for over 25 years, first as a University Player, then as a Rep Coach and now as the Lead Assistant for the Centennial Colts Men’s Basketball Team. He has coached at the College level for over 10 years, been involved with Canada Elite, been the Coordinator of the Summer CYBL and the Coordinator of the SBA Summer Camps.

The Toronto Blues Elite AAU program will emphasize individual player growth and development by providing appropriate competitive experiences. The program will also provide opportunities to play in such prestigious events as UA Futures League created by Under Armour for middle schools across North America. A new look, attitude and structure is what the Toronto Blues Elite teams will represent. All teams will have a strong coaching staff that will function under the guidance of the Coordinator.

Years of hard work and dedication has established the SBA as one of the premiere basketball organizations in Ontario and now we are excited to introduce our Toronto Blues Elite Boys & Girls Summer Travel Program which will set the bar above all others.

Our goal is to provide elite level basketball players between the U12 (Boys) and U15 - U17 (Girls) age groups in the GTA with unparalleled athletic development training and skills training, while exposing them to the highest level of competition in North America. More importantly, it's more than about basketball! We will develop our athletes' skill level while at the same time developing our athletes outside of the game of basketball by providing our athletes with support needed to acquire positive life-long habits, develop exceptional character, and excel academically in the classroom. Our ultimate goal is that by doing this ALL our athletes will be in a position to obtain academic and/or athletic scholarships to Universities/Colleges that compete in NCAA, NAIA and CIS. All of our participants will be leaders on and off the court.Toronto Blues Elite will define what it means to be successful at the next level!

Athletes selected will receive elite-level training by the team’s coaching staff and our officials, which will include:

  • Academic and Character Development sessions
  • Athletic Development Training to improve strength, movement, endurance and speed.
  • Comprehensive Basketball-specific skill development training
  • High-level competition to some of the top basketball tournaments in North America
