The SBA has identified that while boys have many places in the city to play pickup basketball to gain more exposure to 5-v-5, 4-v-4 or even 3-v-3 and exercise their skills, creativity and defence, girls just don’t have the same opportunities.

So, we are now providing a pickup/scrimmage basketball program so girls can get more confidence in a game situation and make new friends at the same time.

There will be music playing during games and we will have a referee and a time/scorekeeper to keep games moving quickly.

Coach Mike Manhertz and his staff will help to make sure that teams are evenly balanced by talent/experience to ensure everyone has a great experience playing in our basketball pick-up games.
