The Girls House League program endeavors to introduce and teach the fundamentals of basketball. Each player will learn various passing, dribbling, shooting techniques, defensive footwork & conditioning. Players are given the opportunity for weekly training that reinforces key skill sets and encourage player socialization.

Each program is designed age-appropriate and the SBA’s goal is to promote cooperative training. SBA players are taught and coached by skilled basketball instructors.

All training will be age and skill-specific, focusing on both the offensive (dribbling, shooting, attacking the basket) and defensive (footwork) side of the ball, and will be progressive in nature whenever possible.

No parent/guardian can enter the gym at any time. Players must have their own basketball, water bottle, and towels (optional).

Due to the COVID-19 stage 3 guidelines, there will be no contact allowed between players so there will be no scrimmage playing or person to person defense. All sessions will be training only.

SBA follows the Return to Play – COVID-19 Guidelines as set out by the Ontario Basketball Association and all COVID-19 guidelines as per the Government of Ontario and the City of Toronto.

  • Programs run from 45 minutes up to 1 hour and 15 minutes of training.
  • All programs run for 10 weeks.
  • Your first program includes an SBA reversible jersey.
  • Online registration with credit or debit card payment only will be accepted.
  • No on-site registration is permitted.
  • Registration will close when the program is full or by 9 pm on the day before the session is to take place.
  • Refund Policy – Refunds must be requested 2 weeks prior to the program start date and are subject to a Cancellation Fee of $25 or $50 if a jersey is received. No refunds will be issued after the program start date.

If you have any questions, please email Christopher Dennis at christopherdennis@sbablues.ca

Programs will begin on the start date unless notified by SBA. All times, dates and locations are subject to change. If the program you are trying to register for is closed, please email info@sbablues.ca to be put on a waiting list.
