A native of Pickering, Ont., Mikyle McIntosh travelled south to the U.S. for high school, attending Christian Faith Center Academy in Creedmoor, North Carolina.

McIntosh transferred for his senior season to Breathitt County High School in Jackson, Kentucky while playing basketball at 22 Feet Academy and received interest from UCLA, Miami and Kentucky, but decided to go to Illinois State. 

After redshirting his freshman year at Illinois State, McIntosh averaged 10.9 points and 4.8 rebounds and was named the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Most Improved Player.

After his junior season, McIntosh transferred to Oregon, where he averaged 11.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game as a senior. 

McIntosh went  undrafted in the 2018 NBA draft, but signed a summer league deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.

In 2018, he played with the Anyang KGC of the Korean Basketball League and the Raptors 905 of the NBA G League, where he averaged 10.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1 assist per game.

McIntosh was drafted by the Hamilton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), butcwent back overseas, signing with BC Oostende in Belgium.

McIntosh currently plays with ESSM Le Portel of the French LNB Pro A.
