Team Breedy Christmas Tournament 2017

At this time of year our thoughts turn to holiday planning, visiting friends, and family. For some, the holidays can be a very difficult time, that’s why last year the Lady Blues – Team Breedy decided that they wanted to help. They organized a girl’s Christmas Tournament and Food Drive in support of Juliette’s Place in Scarborough. This year’s 2nd Annual Christmas Tournament and Food Drive was held on December 10 and was bigger and better. SBA’s Team Breedy, Etobicoke Thunder and Oakville Vytis U15 girls spent the afternoon competing against each other, winning prizes, raising money and having a great time. The Food Drive hit a record number of donations and Juliette’s Place was so grateful to be the recipient.

Team Breedy would like to thank Etobicoke Thunder and Oakville Vytis for participating in this year’s Christmas Tournament and Food Drive and supporting Juliette’s Place with all your kind donations. The team would also like to thank the other SBA teams that came by to drop off food for this worthy cause. Special thanks to our President Sam Moncada, Executive Director Peter Jones and REP Director Don Marchione for taking time out to come and watch the girls play.

Juliette’s Place provides safe, short-term emergency shelter to women and children fleeing violence and abuse and helps them to build their skills through educational programs and support services. For more information on Juliette’s Place please visit

Team Breedy is already planning the 3rd Annual Christmas Tournament and Food Drive for next year. It’s going to be even bigger – stay turned.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday,
Team Breedy
